HEAD OF GOVERNANCE
London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA)
About LAMDA
For more than 160 years, the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA) has been one of the world’s leading drama schools and performing arts institutions. Renowned for its exceptional training, examinations and commitment to nurturing emerging talent, LAMDA has helped shape generations of artists who have gone on to make a significant impact across stage and screen.
LAMDA’s distinguished alumni include many of the UK’s most celebrated actors, including Benedict Cumberbatch, who currently serves as the institution’s President.
Following the award of indefinite Taught Degree Awarding Powers, the institution has entered an exciting new phase – strengthening its focus on governance, regulatory compliance, risk management and institutional effectiveness.
To support this continued development, LAMDA has created a new position of Head of Governance. Reporting directly to the Principal and CEO, with a reporting line to the Chair of the Board, the Head of Governance will provide strategic leadership and expert advice on governance, regulatory compliance, data assurance and institutional risk. The role will also have line management responsibility for a small team.
