Marinela Holistic School is seeking an exceptional and visionary Head of School to lead the next stage of its development. Located in the parish of St. James on Barbados’ west coast, Marinela offers a distinctive educational environment that places the whole child at the centre of learning, combining academic curiosity with creativity, wellbeing, and a deep connection to nature.

The successful candidate will bring a clear commitment to holistic education and child-centred learning, alongside the strategic leadership required to guide a growing school with ambition and purpose. Working closely with the school’s founders and community, the Head will ensure that Marinela’s ethos is embedded across all aspects of school life while strengthening its reputation locally and internationally. 

We are seeking a leader who is both thoughtful and entrepreneurial: someone who understands the importance of nurturing young learners while also building a sustainable and thriving school. The Head will lead and support a dedicated team of educators, foster strong partnerships with families, and contribute to the continued development of Marinela’s educational vision. 

Candidates will bring significant leadership experience within a school environment, a strong understanding of progressive or holistic approaches to education, and the ability to lead with warmth, integrity, and clarity. Experience in international or independent school contexts would be advantageous.
