Edge Hill University is based in Ormskirk, Lancashire, founded in 1885 as the first non-denominational teacher training college for women. The Board of Governors are now appointing an outstanding leader as their interim Vice – Chancellor for at least 9 months to provide stable, values‑driven leadership pending the appointment of a permanent Vice-Chancellor. As the Interim Vice-Chancellor, you will ensure continuity, maintain momentum on the newly-approved Strategic Plan, Our Connected Futures 2026-31, and lead the institution while the Board appoints a permanent Vice-Chancellor.
The role requires a leader who can uphold and model the University’s values while delivering on key strategic priorities and safeguarding regulatory and financial stability.
