Following the recent appointment of our new Director of People and Culture, we are seeking to appoint a senior team of ambitious, knowledgeable, change-makers to support the Director in the development and delivery of the University’s people and culture strategies.       

Reporting to the Director of People and Culture, collectively this senior team will provide collaborative strategic leadership for all people services across the University. Individually they will lead their portfolio and contribute to the University strategy and develop and implement an approach that aligns people within the University to the overall corporate plan and delivery of its vision and mission.

This transformational senior leadership role will ensure that UEL attracts and recruits talented individuals who will enable the delivery of our ambitious strategy. From creating an attractive employer brand, to introducing innovative and inclusive selection processes, under their leadership, the Talent Acquisition team will support UEL hiring managers to plan for and fill each vacancy in a streamlined way. From workforce planning to writing job advertisements, and from shaping selection criteria to shortlisting suitable candidates, this team will provide the solutions, frameworks and processes needed to ensure we have the right people, in the right places at the right time.

We are looking for exceptional individuals to lead our HR functions. Candidates will bring wide-ranging HR leadership experience and a strong track record of delivering transformation and driving performance improvement in individuals, functions and organisations. High-level interpersonal and communication skills will be essential, as will experience in building and developing high-performing teams. Candidates will also drive the implementation of HR goals through detailed project plans and the management of relevant performance indicators.
