After a successful inaugural Women in Tech event in June, we held our second one in partnership with Marie Curie UK for female tech leaders in the higher education, not-for-profit and the wider public sectors. Marie Curie have a diverse technology team, and we were delighted that they wished to host the next event for us at their head office.
It was an afternoon of fellowship and conversation again hosted by AQ Partner Grace Tattersall and wonderfully chaired by Femi Otitoju from EW Group. We heard from our inspiring panel members, Nicole Seneque, Registered Nurse and Head of Digital Innovation at Marie Curie, Malvina Gooding, Former Group Director of IT Services at London South Bank University, Sapna Babbar, DDaT Head of Portfolio and Projects at the British Red Cross and guest speakers Ivan Delany, Director of Technology at Marie Curie and Helene Usherwood, Partner at AQ specialising in Non-Executive Director (NED) appointments.
The agenda included learning through digital failures, how to drive digital transformation/AI, how to enhance your career through being a NED and National Menopause Day. The speakers discussed the trajectory of their career journeys and shared their thoughts and expertise on the importance of internal networks and allyship at an executive level. We heard lively conversations about data, equity and digital transformation and many new friendships and partnerships were made.
