6 month assignment | Hybrid | End of October start
We’re supporting a UK university that is looking for an experienced Interim Legal Counsel to strengthen its internal legal capability at an important time.
The role will provide senior, pragmatic legal advice across a broad range of university matters, with a particular focus on OfS and wider regulatory issues, significant contractual matters, governance and subsidiary companies, and complex legal claims including judicial review and large scale student claims.
You’ll work closely with the University Secretary and senior stakeholders, providing an internal legal perspective and acting as a key interface with the university’s existing external legal advisers.
We’re looking for a qualified lawyer with strong higher education experience, who understands the regulatory environment and can quickly get to grips with complex issues, provide clear advice and confidently navigate senior stakeholders. There will also be a range of ad hoc legal matters, so this is a role for someone who enjoys variety, can operate independently and is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and getting stuck in.
If you’re an experienced HE lawyer available for an interim assignment and this sounds like your kind of challenge, I’d love to hear from you.
