North East Surrey College of Technology (Nescot)
Director of Estates
Ewell, Surrey
Competitive Salary
Nescot is one of the leading further education colleges in the South East, delivering high-quality education and training to thousands of learners each year from its impressive 60-acre campus in the borough of Epsom & Ewell. The College has ambitious plans for the future and is committed to providing an outstanding environment in which students, apprentices, staff and partners can thrive.
As part of our continued development, we are seeking to appoint an exceptional Director of Estates to provide strategic leadership across our estate, facilities and campus infrastructure.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and serving as a key member of the senior leadership team, the Director of Estates will lead the development and delivery of an ambitious estates strategy that supports the College’s strategic objectives and long-term vision. The role encompasses the stewardship of a diverse estate comprising teaching and learning facilities, specialist vocational spaces, extensive sports facilities, theatres, a working farm, public-facing environments and significant outdoor spaces.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a forward-thinking estates professional to shape the future of a substantial and complex educational environment. You will provide both strategic direction and operational oversight, ensuring that the College’s buildings, facilities and infrastructure remain safe, compliant, sustainable and fit for purpose, while leading investment, development and transformation projects that enhance the experience of students and staff alike.
The successful candidate will bring significant leadership experience within estates, facilities, property or asset management, ideally gained within a large and complex organisation. You will have a proven track record of developing estates strategies, delivering major projects, managing compliance and leading high-performing teams. Equally important will be your ability to build strong relationships across the organisation, influence senior stakeholders and provide confidence to governors and executive leaders alike.
If you are an ambitious and collaborative leader with the expertise, credibility and vision to lead one of the South East’s most distinctive further education estates, we would be delighted to hear from you.
