Interim Student Experience Transformation Lead – Higher Education Institution – London

Anderson Quigley is urgently searching for an Interim Student Experience Transformation Lead to help a London based HEI in meaningfully improving their NSS, TEF and B3 outcomes. The search closes on Saturday 22nd August – so please get in touch ASAP.

Practicalities: 12-month FTC. September start highly preferred, although October can be considered. Ideally full-time but 0.8FTE is possible. Initially, you will be required to frontload 3-4 days per week on-site in London for the first month, reducing to 2–3 days per week on-site for the remainder of the contract. Preferably remunerated on a competitive FTC salaried basis.

Who we are looking for: An immediately or soon to be available senior HE leader with a demonstrable track record of personally leading measurable improvements and implementing interventions in NSS and TEF performance, student experience and OfS B3 outcomes.

Where you will have gained this experience: Within a UK higher education institution, public or private, most likely as ‘Head’ or ‘Director’ within the possible following fields: student experience, student success, learning and teaching, educational enhancement, academic quality, student outcomes or related areas.

What this role is not: This is not necessarily for someone whose experience is predominantly within the policy, strategy, coordination or advisory/consultancy side of things. We very much need a ‘doer’.

Key criteria:

  • Demonstrable track record of meaningfully improving NSS performance, ideally through a comparable improvement programme.
  • Strong understanding of OfS B3 metrics, particularly retention, continuation and completion, alongside TEF and student lifecycle data.
  • Ability to interrogate data, identify root causes and translate findings into practical interventions.
  • Strong programme and change delivery capability, with the confidence to establish clear accountability and drive implementation.
  • Experience improving student communications and using communications to support wider cultural change.
  • High EQ, credibility with senior leadership and the ability to work across academic and professional services.

Next steps:

If this sounds closely aligned to your background, please email eva.tomka@andersonquigley.com and akhil.yerneni@andersonquigley.com ASAP with a copy of your CV and some detail around where you have previously led measurable improvements in NSS, student experience, TEF and OfS B3 outcomes.
