Head of Finance, Multi Academy Trust

Anderson Quigley delighted to be working with a Multi Academy Trust in North London to support them in appointing a Head of Finance.

This is an exciting period of growth for the Trust, currently comprising of four primary schools with a growth plan to expand in the future. With this comes genuine scope for the role to evolve, offering the successful candidate the chance to shape and strengthen the finance function as the organisation grows.

Role Focus

Your main areas of responsibility will centre on operational finance. This is a hands-on role, critical to the smooth running of the Trust’s financial operations.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:-

• Overseeing full budgeting cycle
• lead the production of management reporting and financial statements, and act as the key technical accountant for the Trust.
• oversee the AR and AP functions, ensuring high‑quality transactional, banking, payment and receipting services
• directly managing a well-established and capable team of 3 whom you will work with closely on delivery and supporting schools. The team will benefit from your experience and mentorship to aid in their development.

Your role will report to the Chief Executive, whom you will provide clear, timely financial insight and ensuring the Trust maintains strong financial stewardship.

Essential Experience

A successful candidate will have:

• Experience working within a  Multi-Academy Trust, single academy or maintained school
• A hands-on approach to operational finance
• They will be a qualified accountant with strong technical capability.
• It would be desirable to have experience of using PSF Financials, the Trust’s finance system.
