Anderson Quigley is delighted to once again be supporting GEDU Global Education on the appointment of a Group Head of Governance.

Please note, this is a fully on-site role, based from any of their UK campuses (West London, East London, Birmingham, Manchester or Leeds).

About GEDU:

With over 75,000 learners worldwide, GEDU is a leading educational institution with a global footprint and a valuable mission: to break down barriers and empower non-traditional student demographics to access high quality education through inspiring and practical programmes based on cutting edge education, technology and expertise. Possessing a vision to become a globally respected, trailblazing provider of education, they promote learning as a key driver of socioeconomic progress, whilst maintaining a strong commitment to quality and innovation.

Overview:

We are seeking a highly credible Group Head of Governance to lead the development and delivery of corporate governance across the Group’s international education portfolio.

Reporting to the Deputy Group CEO, your role will oversee governance across a complex, multi-jurisdictional organisational structure. You will also ensure the effective servicing of Boards and committees while leading the ongoing development of governance frameworks and practices across the Group. Leading a team of 8 governance professionals, you will ensure governance arrangements meet statutory and regulatory obligations and reflect emerging best practice, working closely with senior leadership, board members and chairs to support effective decision making.

Essential Criteria:

We are seeking an experienced governance leader, ideally with experience operating within complex, multi-entity and regulated environments. You may currently be operating at Head of Governance, Director, Associate Director, Deputy University Secretary or equivalent level, supporting Boards and senior committees within higher education, education or similarly regulated sectors.

Experience within group structures, international organisations or multi-jurisdictional environments would be advantageous. You will also bring a strong understanding of corporate governance frameworks, board operations and governance best practice, alongside the ability to advise senior leaders and board members.

Next Steps:

In summary, this is an exceptional opportunity to shape governance across a large and growing international education group while establishing consistent standards across multiple institutions.
