Anderson Quigley is delighted to be working with the University of Wolverhampton as they look to appoint a HR Business Partner – Workforce Planning & Transformation.

What will you be responsible for?

This fantastic opportunity is to join an HR team in a strategic position to support both academic and professional services. There is a specific focus on workforce planning, and you will lead on the following areas:

  • Workforce Planning and Transformation: Lead strategic workforce planning through data analysis and forecasting to identify future resourcing requirements. Develop recruitment and succession strategies, provide expert advice on employment models, and support organisational transformation through effective organisational design, change management, and capability mapping.
  • Talent and Succession Planning: Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to design and deliver talent development initiatives, career mobility pathways, leadership pipelines, and robust succession planning frameworks.
  • Change Management: Provide coaching and guidance to leaders and managers throughout transformation programmes, embedding new ways of working and organisational culture while ensuring clear communication, engagement, and sustained staff commitment.

You will work report to Head of HR Business Partnering / Director of HR, acting as a trusted adviser and contributing to high-impact initiatives across the University.

What you’ll bring: 

  • CIPD Level 7 or equivalent experience
  • Proven expertise in workforce planning, organisational change, and HR advisory
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable strategies
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to engage stakeholders at all levels
