Desborough College, a boys school and a proud member of Pioneer Educational Trust, is seeking an exceptional Headteacher to lead the College into its next phase of development. We are seeking to appoint a Headteacher with the vision, credibility and emotional intelligence to inspire confidence across the whole community. The successful candidate will be a visible and principled leader, able to combine strategic clarity with warmth, humility and presence. They will understand the distinctive responsibility and opportunity of leading a boys’ school, and will be committed to developing character, aspiration and a strong sense of purpose alongside academic excellence.
Desborough College has a strong identity and high expectations for its pupils and staff. The next Headteacher will build on this foundation while bringing fresh perspective, intellectual curiosity and the courage to lead change where it will have the greatest impact. They will champion inclusion, equity and wellbeing, ensuring that every boy is known, valued and enabled to succeed.
This role will suit an experienced senior leader who is motivated by service and impact. You will be an outstanding communicator, skilled in working with governors, trust leaders and external partners, and confident in leading a school within a collaborative and aspirational multi-academy trust. You will also value the opportunities offered by Pioneer Educational Trust to share expertise, develop leaders and strengthen practice across schools.
