Anderson Quigley is delighted to be supporting a UK university with the appointment of an Interim PVC to lead a major portfolio covering international recruitment, admissions and marketing. This is a strategic and operational leadership role with a clear priority: driving sustainable international recruitment growth while strengthening compliance, systems and market diversification.

This opportunity suits someone who has lived and delivered international student recruitment in the last three years – navigating COVID recovery, tightened visa regulations, volatile markets and the increasing tension between growth and UKVI compliance.

Key Priorities:

  • Market diversification and expansion: maintaining momentum in core markets. Experience in Southeast Asia, China, GCC countries or Africa would be particularly valuable.
  • Strengthening the admissions function: reviewing end-to-end processes, improving applicant experience, and ensuring the institution operates safely and confidently within UKVI expectations.
  • Agent network performance: assessing, influencing and performance-managing agents; improving quality and yield; and making informed judgements where markets present risk.

What you will have:

  • Senior international recruitment leadership experience.
  • A proven track record of delivering growth and compliance simultaneously.
  • Deep understanding of UKVI requirements, refusal trends and market volatility.
  • Strong operational grip combined with clear strategic judgement.
  • Experience entering or building presence in new international markets.
  • The ability to influence senior stakeholders and shape a more sophisticated, data-led operation.

The university is operating in a highly competitive regional and international environment. Strengthening its recruitment engine, diversifying market exposure, and improving admissions capability are essential to its next phase of growth. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact in a short period, with the potential for longer-term continuation if the fit is right.
