Interim Finance Director, London Independent Learning Provider (FE/HE/Apprenticeships)

Anderson Quigley is delighted to be working with this Independent Learning Provider which operates in the HE/FE and Apprenticeships arena as it looks to engage an interim Finance Director for a period of 6 months or so from early January 2026.

The client would like to engage this candidate 5 days a week, ideally on a fixed term contract paying the successful candidate a salary of between £85K and £110K p.a. pro rata.

You will be a fully qualified accountant, ideally with an HE/FE background with an understanding of Further/Higher Education funding and regulatory procedures, but public sector experience will be considered . The role is hybrid with an expectation to be on site 3 days a week in central London though there is flexibility around this.

Key areas of focus will include responding to recommendations of the recently completed audit and preparing next year’s budgets which need to be completed by the beginning of May. You will also be responsible for timely and accurate reports to the board.

You will also possess excellent communication and leadership skills to help support and develop the finance team.
