The University of Manchester is a world-leading institution, renowned for the quality of its research and teaching. Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS) is one of the UK’s foremost business and management schools, recognised internationally for delivering innovative education and for its influential partnerships with business and policy leaders.
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding individual as Director of Major Client Programmes within our Executive Education division.
This senior role offers the opportunity to provide academic and administrative leadership for the School’s flagship programmes for major clients in executive education. The postholder will oversee programme design and delivery, lead teams of academic and professional staff, and ensure that our delegates benefit from an exceptional learning experience.
The Director will play a central role in curriculum development and programme innovation, work closely with awarding and accreditation bodies, and contribute to the School’s quality assurance processes. Building strong and enduring client relationships will be a key feature of the role, alongside active involvement in business development activities, bid preparation, and representing the School with senior stakeholders.
We welcome applications from candidates with experience of executive education programme leadership or significant industry expertise in complex project management who wish to bring their skills into a higher education setting focused on adult leaning. An academic or professional background in project management is essential, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills in a class-room setting, proven ability to manage large-scale client partnerships, and a collaborative approach to academic and professional leadership.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of major client programmes at AMBS and to enhance our position as a global leader in executive education.
