Anderson Quigley is pleased to be partnering once again with the London College of Contemporary Arts (LCCA) to lead the search for their new Regional Director (effectively a Campus Director role) for their new Birmingham Campus. Please note, this will require an on-site presence of 5 days per week on-site in Birmingham, which could reduce to 4 days later.
Who is LCCA?
LCCA is a modern, creative institution offering career-focused undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in fashion, graphic design, business management, and hospitality. With a student-centred approach, academically rigorous teaching, new campuses planned, and student numbers set to grow from c.9,000 to c.12,000, this is a transformative moment for a senior leader to join the institution and lead their new Birmingham Campus. Real-world learning, creative thinking, and inclusive education are at the heart of LCCA’s mission.
Overview of the Role:
Reporting to the Deputy Managing Director, the Regional Director / Campus Director will oversee the full operation of the Birmingham campus, leading all academic, operational and service functions to ensure delivery of the College’s strategic goals and an outstanding student experience. Working closely with the Senior Management Team, you will provide institutional leadership across academic quality, regulatory compliance, operational delivery and strategic growth.
This is a critical role responsible for achieving core KPIs including student retention, continuation and completion, and for supporting high performance against OfS B3 metrics. The Regional Director / Campus Director will play a key role in driving quality improvement, ensuring effective planning and resource management, and developing cross-functional strategies that ensure excellence, innovation, and impact. This is an exciting opportunity for an established higher education leader to help shape the next chapter of LCCA’s development and to spearhead the commercial operations and strategy for a new campus.
Essential Criteria:
We are seeking an experienced senior leader with significant management and leadership experience within the UK higher education sector, and a proven track record of institutional leadership and delivering growth (perhaps gained in a previous Campus Director, College Principal or Director of Operations role). You will bring an excellent understanding of the UK HE policy and regulatory landscape, including OfS and QAA, and be adept at aligning strategy with operational realities.
Also essential is demonstrable experience in leading high-performing teams, managing complex stakeholder relationships, and operating at senior leadership level with impact and influence. Financial and operational acumen, alongside a commitment to delivering high-quality, student-centred education, is essential. Experience of managing multi-campus operations, supporting regulatory inspections, and leading change will be highly desirable.
Next Steps:
Please get in touch with Carolyn Coates via to discuss further. We will be shortlisting and interviewing on an ongoing basis until successful appointment, so early expressions of interest are encouraged.
