Anderson Quigley is delighted to be partnering once again with the London College of Contemporary Arts (LCCA) to lead the search for their new Executive Dean for Learning and Teaching. This new, full-time permanent role is based at the Tower Hill or Aldgate campuses in London.

Who is LCCA?

LCCA is a modern, creative institution in central London, offering career-focused undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in fashion, graphic design, business management, and hospitality. With a student-centred approach, academically rigorous teaching, new campuses planned, and student numbers set to grow from c.9,000 to c.12,000, this is a transformative moment to join the Senior Team. Real-world learning, creative thinking, and inclusive education are at the heart of LCCA’s mission.

Overview:

Reporting to the Provost, the Executive Dean for Learning and Teaching will lead the strategic delivery of the College’s educational priorities, ensuring a high-quality academic experience aligned to OfS conditions and awarding body requirements. As a senior member of the academic leadership team, you will be responsible for driving excellence in learning, teaching, assessment, and academic staff development across the entire institution.

You will oversee three Associate Deans and work in close collaboration with internal and external partners to drive innovation, implement effective quality processes, and champion sector-leading pedagogical practice. You will also play an essential part in supporting regulatory priorities, including OfS registration and the College’s ambition to secure Taught Degree Awarding Powers.

Essential Criteria:

We are seeking an accomplished academic leader with experience at Dean or Director level or equivalent, with a proven track record in enhancing institution wide teaching, learning and assessment. Also essential is the ability to bring strategic insight into curriculum innovation, quality enhancement, and academic staff development.

Experience of managing institutional growth, leading organisational change, and working with regulatory bodies (such as OfS, QAA and UKVI) is essential. You will also possess a clear commitment to inclusive, student-centred education, especially for a widening participation demographic of students. A track record or emerging profile of applied research and publication in pedagogy or HE Learning and Teaching would be desirable.

Next Steps:

Please get in touch with Alicja Janowska to discuss further. We will be shortlisting and interviewing on an ongoing basis until successful appointment, so early expressions of interest are encouraged.
