Interim Head of Health and Safety – Educational Group

A leading education group is looking for an Interim Head of Health and Safety to play a vital role in shaping the company strategy and elevating HSE practices to new heights.

You will lead and inspire an HSE strategy, ensuring compliance across all areas while fostering a positive safety culture. You will engage with key stakeholders to create and uphold a vibrant HSE culture and spearhead continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental standards, supporting new initiatives and programs.

You will conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions. You will also lead fire safety initiatives, including fire risk assessments, emergency planning, and fire drills. Additionally, you will provide training and guidance to staff on health and safety practices, including fire safety protocols.

You will collaborate with various departments to ensure health and safety standards are met across all operations. You will also be up to date on all relevant health and safety legislation and ensure the organisation’s compliance.

This position is initially offered as a one-year fixed-term contract.
