Anderson Quigley is pleased to be partnering once again with the London College of Contemporary Arts (LCCA) to lead the search for their new Provost. This new, full-time permanent role is based at the Tower Hill or Aldgate campuses in London.
Who is LCCA?
LCCA is a modern, creative institution in central London, offering career-focused undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in fashion, graphic design, business management, and hospitality. With a student-centred approach, academically rigorous teaching, new campuses planned, and student numbers set to grow from c.9,000 to c.12,000 – this is a transformative moment for a new academic leader to join the Executive Team. Real-world learning, creative thinking, and inclusive education are at the heart of LCCA’s mission.
Overview of the Role:
Reporting to the Managing Director, and working closely with the Group Chief Academic Officer, the Provost will provide strategic and operational leadership across LCCA’s entire academic landscape. Overseeing two Executive Deans (Academic and Learning & Teaching), the Provost will shape a high-quality academic structure that meets institutional goals for growth, excellence, and student success.
This ideal candidate for this pivotal role will drive academic quality, champion innovation in learning and teaching, bring a full understanding of OfS conditions and the process of obtaining degree awarding powers, and develop an industry-relevant academic portfolio that enhances student outcomes and institutional reputation. As a key member of the Executive Team, the Provost will play a central role in shaping LCCA’s transformative next chapter.
Essential Criteria:
We are seeking a visionary academic leader with experience at Executive Dean, Principal, PVC, or Provost level, who has led high-performing academic teams and improved student outcomes across diverse, creative and business-related disciplines. You will bring deep knowledge of academic governance, external regulation (including OfS, QAA and UKVI), and a strong record in quality assurance and curriculum innovation.
A doctoral qualification is desirable, alongside a Fellowship (or higher) of Advance HE. You will have a strong understanding of UK higher education policy and a clear commitment to student-centred learning, widening participation, and inclusive leadership. A track record of delivering institutional change, strategic growth, and driving high B3 and NSS metrics is also required.
Next Steps:
We will be speaking with suitable candidates and introducing them to LCCA on an ongoing basis until successful appointment.
