Overview of the role:

Joining at a time of growth, the Head of Academic Quality will lead processes to uphold the highest academic standards across regulated provision, including higher education, degree apprenticeships, and professional education.

You will oversee academic quality, governance and regulatory compliance, ensuring effective committees and student representation, while driving improvements in all of these areas. Managing a high-performing team, you will also ensure alignment with the strategic plan and regulatory requirements. Externally, you will represent Walbrook, by building strong relationships with regulators and key stakeholders, and you will also lead a high-quality student complaints and appeals service, ensuring timely resolutions.

Essential Criteria:

With extensive experience in academic quality assurance and governance within higher education, including expertise in regulated provision overseen by the OfS, DfE, and Ofqual, you must possess a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance. You must also have a proven ability to develop and implement policies that uphold high academic standards. Your leadership capabilities will encompass team management, resource allocation, and driving performance reviews to enhance institutional effectiveness. Also essential is expert engagement of stakeholders at all levels, fostering collaboration and ensuring regulatory adherence.
