Anderson Quigley is delighted to share a confidential but very exciting opportunity – a Managing Director role for a new HE brand within a large, well-established, and highly successful international education group. This is a rare opportunity to build and lead a new HEI from near its inception while benefiting from the financial investment, stability, centralised services, and strategic guidance of a large group.

What we are looking for:

  • A senior professional/corporate services leader, with a strong HE background and an entrepreneurial, quality, customer and output driven approach.
  • You possess, within HE, overall leadership responsibility of running a college, campus, branch, institution or very large part of an institution.
  • You may currently be a Director / Managing Director / Campus Director / College Director / Centre Director / COO or Deputy COO / Director of Operations within such a context.
  • The above, gained within an alternative or private HE provider would be desirable, although a mix of public post-92 and private HE experience is also welcome.
  • You must have the ability to build, manage and lead a HE start-up from a fledgling state i.e. building registry, student services, academics, operations, professional services, end to end.
  • A demonstrable track record of growing and scaling a HEI, student numbers and provision, whilst maintaining quality, customer service, rigour and business sustainability.
  • A strong understanding of HE provision for a Widening Participation demographic of students.
  • Contemporary, in-depth knowledge of the UK HE regulatory landscape and what it takes to build a successful HE business that offers high quality education, exceptional student experience, and is in strict adherence to professional and ethical standards.

Practicalities:

  • Salary up to £150k + bonuses, with significant potential for remuneration growth
  • Full-time role, with an initial expectation of 4 days per week on-site, which can reduce to 3 days per week once bedded in.
  • Hence, you must either be London based or able to commute to London easily. Travel expenses to London not available.
  • Flexibility to travel between UK campuses, as and when those become a reality (regional travel is expensible).
