Anderson Quigley is proud to continue our long-standing partnership with GBS, part of GEDU Global Education, on the search for their new Director of Academic Standards and Quality. Please note, this is a fully on-site role, based at their London, Manchester, Birmingham, or Leeds campuses (with travel between).

Overview:
As the Director, you will lead GBS’s academic standards and quality management, ensuring compliance with external quality requirements and regulatory frameworks. You will oversee academic partnerships, ensuring adherence to relevant policies and procedures, while fostering best practice approaches to teaching, learning, and assessment. A key part of your role will be enhancing student engagement in quality processes, and strengthening the student voice. You will also be responsible for horizon-scanning and sector benchmarking, ensuring GBS remains aligned with evolving academic quality and regulatory expectations.
As a senior HE leader, you will drive strategic organisational change that enhances academic quality, leading an Academic Standards and Quality team of c.15 people, and promoting integrated, cross-team collaboration.
Essential Criteria:
In-depth direct and senior leadership expertise within HE quality management, academic standards, and external quality review requirements (i.e. OfS for UK universities etc) is essential. You will have a proven track record in high-level decision-making, an outcome-led approach, and senior stakeholder engagement. With strong influencing and leadership skills, you will drive continuous improvement, innovation, and operational efficiency to uphold GBS’s reputation for academic excellence.
