Anderson Quigley is currently working with an SEMH/ASC school in North-West London that is looking to recruit an interim deputy headteacher to begin as soon as possible for the spring term initially and possibly longer while they go to market for a permanent appointment.
The school caters for students aged 7 to 19 which includes a thriving 6th form provision, and it has a strong therapeutic approach to education. The school is in the Ofsted window.
This role is quite hands-on, where the ideal candidate will have worked in a similar environment and will have experience of preparing schools for Ofsted along with the ability to talk Ofsted inspectors through an inspection- having the ability to confidently articulate what the school does.
You will take the lead for Teaching and Learning across the school which will include managing lesson observations and learning walks. You will also ensure stability and structures are maintained, ensuring attendance is high and behaviour incidences are low.
The role would suit talented deputies or headteachers wanting to undertake a more operational role.
This is a 5 day a week on-site role and offers a pro rata salary of between £65K and £68K p.a. or a competitive umbrella assignment rate (Inside IR35).
