Anderson Quigley is urgently looking to support a UK University with the appointment of an interim Strategic Portfolio Lead for Education.
Practicalities:
Interviews will take place on 20th December 2024 via MS Teams. Start date latest by January 2025. This six-month contract offers flexibility for full-time or part-time (0.8 FTE), with remote working and on-site presence (approx. one day per week). Overview:
The Interim Strategic Portfolio Lead for Education is a critical position which will play a central role in shaping the school’s education portfolio to achieve greater reputational impact and enhance its financial contributions within the university. The interim will collaborate closely with the COO, Executive Dean and Deputy Dean to develop and implement a forward-thinking education strategy. This includes designing a distinctive pedagogical approach with a digital focus, and leading the creation of fully costed business cases for new programme developments, such as apprenticeships, two-year accelerated degrees, transnational education initiatives, and online learning delivery.
Additionally, the interim will work on advancing strategic international partnerships that generate income and enhance the school’s reputation. A key priority will be establishing relationships with online learning platforms to scale delivery effectively. The role also involves supporting financial growth by ensuring the school meets its financial targets while fostering a culture of innovation and high performance.
Essential Criteria:
You will be a senior academic leader with significant experience in L&T, education and portfolio reviews, ideally gained at ‘Head of’, Deputy Dean, or Dean level. Experience in a business school or a cognate discipline is highly desirable. Also key is a proven ability to develop and implement strategy, manage complex change, and deliver innovative education programmes with impact.
Experience of leading the specific projects in the ‘overview’ section is highly essential.
