Anderson Quigley is delighted to bring to market an outstanding leadership opportunity for a Group Finance Director position with an international education group generating approximately £350 million in annual revenue.

Practicalities:

A competitive salary package of up to £130-150k + bonus potential is on offer. The campus is West London based and the team work fully on-site, so a London based candidate is much preferred.

Overview:

The Group Finance Director will be at the heart of driving the financial strategy and operational excellence of the organisation. Within this varied leadership role, you can expect to lead a team of 15 in achieving the following:

  • Managing both management and statutory reporting, ensuring the group is always in compliance while providing crucial insights for decision-making.
  • Leading the global payments function, ensuring seamless, efficient transactions across international operations and overseeing the group payroll team and treasury function, and playing a critical role in maintaining the group’s financial strength and liquidity.
  • As a key player in audit planning, being the go-to contact for statutory and internal audits, ensuring a smooth and proactive audit process.
  • Working closely with divisional finance heads across the UK and internationally, fostering a culture of cross-finance collaboration.
  • Driving the Finance Systems team to deliver key solutions that meet the evolving needs of the group and in addition taking charge of cost control and project accounting, and making a significant impact on financial performance and efficiency of the group.

In summary, this role is a fantastic blend of leadership, strategic influence, and hands-on financial management, all contributing to the group’s ambitions of 300% growth within the next 5-8 years.

Essential Criteria:

The ideal candidate will have operated in a group finance leadership role within a large, complex organisation (c.£200m T/O +). It would be desirable that you have gained this experience within a higher education or education sector setting, as well as bringing some experience of operating internationally. You will also need to be comfortable operating in a hands-on no.2 capacity, reporting to the Group CFO. Experience within a scale-up or fast growing group environment will also be key. Finally, the ability to be on-site full-time from West London is essential.
