Anderson Quigley is working with an SEN school for children and young adults. All pupils have an EHC plan associated with physical disability or complex medical conditions. Most pupils have additional learning needs. Some pupils have profound or complex learning difficulties.
The school has recently started admitting more pupils with a diagnosis of autism. They are set to open a bulge class in January 2025 to take on early years aged pupils.
There is a requirement for an ASD specialist who has operated recently at headteacher, deputy head or assistant head level to work 1 to 2 days a week for the rest of this term and possibly after Christmas to prepare for this intake. You will be looking at quality of provision, working closely with the headteacher and deputy headteacher of the school as well as with a local authority appointed project lead. You will also have half a day working with the other Early Years class.
