Anderson Quigley is excited to share a remarkable London based opportunity today: A Group Chief of Staff for a £500 million turnover international education group.
Practicalities:
This role represents one of the most pivotal hires for the client, and as such, a highly competitive salary package between £150k-£200k, with strong bonus potential, is on offer, along with substantial bonus potential. The position is London based – a local candidate is preferred but we would welcome UK wide candidates who are willing to travel to London as required.
Overview:
This dynamic role combines responsibilities of a Group Chief of Staff position with those a Chief Operating Officer. We are particularly keen to hear from experienced C-Suite or executive-level professionals with a strong understanding of the education sector. Ideal candidates will possess a blend of expertise in operations, acquisitions, commercial, strategy, partnerships, academic leadership and business development at institution level. Reporting to the Group CEO, it is essential that you demonstrate discretion, sound judgment, and unwavering integrity in all interactions. The ability to remain calm under pressure, think clearly in crisis situations, and navigate ambiguity is crucial to thriving in this high-stakes role. While the demands are high, this is a rare opportunity to work closely with a highly successful, entrepreneurial and ambitious Group CEO. With plans to elevate this international education provider to household-name status and a projected turnover of £1 billion within the next 5-8 years, the role promises unrivaled exposure on a global scale and the chance to be at the forefront of industry-leading acquisitions and developments within the higher, further and primary education sectors.
Essential Criteria:
While a background in finance, legal or commercial roles before moving on to a broader corporate resource’s role may be advantageous, the priority is significant experience at C-Suite / Executive level within large, complex organisations. Equally important is the ability to cut through bureaucracy and be a decisive executor, driving projects and growth outcomes on behalf of the Group CEO. As their trusted right hand, understanding their priorities, leadership style, and decision-making processes will be essential —particularly in scenarios where you will need to act on their behalf, whether due to their travel schedule or competing priorities.
Next Steps:
If you are a commercially driven, student experience and customer focused C-Suite or Executive level leader, please reach out to Alicja Janowska or Akhil Yerneni for details.
