Interim Director of Operations, London University

Anderson Quigley is happy to be working with a London based University who are looking to appoint an interim Director of Operations for one of their schools.

The Director of Operations will work closely with key Professional Services including Student and Academic Services, Finance, Human Resources, IT, Property and Facilities (PAF), the Change Support Unit, the Safety Office, the Strategy, Planning and Performance Unit, Marketing, and Research and Enterprise.

An important focus for this role will be managing a team who have gone through a restructure. Essential to your success will be your leadership experience to galvanise staff. Your role will be to build strong relationships between academics and professional services.

The key responsibilities for this role are:-

• Supporting the Dean in developing and implementing the School Strategic Implementation Plan, aligning the School to the University strategyLeading, managing, inspiring, and motivating the School’s professional service teams, with particular focus on delivering an excellent student experience, and ensuring effective management of the annual academic year cycle (including planning for onboarding new and returning students)
• Line management of the Quality & Student Experience Manager, Course Operations Managers, Events Manager, and Executive Officer, ensuring an excellent quality of delivery is maintained
• Manage the effective implementation of Senate academic policies and regulations across the School’s programmes, working in liaison with the Dean, Heads of Department, and Associate Deans.

The contract length is 6 months, and our client will be looking to make a permanent appointment which would be open to the interim. This role offers hybrid working.
