Are you a strategic marketing leader with a passion for higher education? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where you can make an immediate impact? We have an exciting opportunity for an Interim Associate Director of Marketing at a prestigious university in the South of England. This 6-month contract offers the chance to shape the future of a dynamic institution and contribute to a period of significant transformation.

As the successful candidate you will be able to demonstrate a previous track record in leading successful marketing teams within universities and delivering strategic outcomes that drive student numbers. In the next 6 – 9 month the key deliverables of this assignment are:

  1. Drive the marketing team to excellence
  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the marketing team, with a strong focus on enhancing the student recruitment journey.
  • Collaborate closely with academic leaders, supporting the reorganisation of a number of schools into 4 faculties, ensuring seamless communication and integration.
  1. Lead the brand refresh
  • Take charge of the universities brand refresh project, moving from the groundwork already laid to creative execution.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive brand strategy that revitalises the university’s look and feel, ensuring it resonates with their target audiences.
  • Manage the tender process for selecting and working with top-tier creative agencies, driving innovation and creativity in every aspect of the brand’s evolution.
  1. Optimise people & budget resources
  • Conduct a thorough review of the universities current marketing resources, evaluating the structure and making strategic recommendations for future growth.
  • Analyse financial data to provide insights and recommendations that align with the university’s long-term goals.
  1. Implement a new CRM system
  • Lead the urgent selection and implementation of a new CRM system to streamline the universities processes and enhance their ability to deliver on business as usual.
  • Evaluate off-the-shelf solutions that can be rapidly deployed to meet the immediate needs of the university.
