Reporting to the Deputy Vice Chancellor, the successful candidate will steer the strategic direction across a number of diverse academic areas, from Aeronautical Engineering to Cyber Security, ensuring excellence in teaching, research, and commercial ventures.
The University is going through a period of sizable change and transformation, which will lead to significant financial efficiencies. As the successful candidate, you will lead the faculty through a significant period of change, fostering a culture of innovation, inclusion, and high performance.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with other faculties and professional services to promote interdisciplinary innovation and excellent service quality.
Research & Innovation: Champion research initiatives and interdisciplinary projects, enhancing the faculty’s reputation and market share.
Industry Engagement: Build and strengthen external partnerships to create cutting-edge programs that prepare students for the future workforce.
Leadership Excellence: Inspire and guide a talented team, including Associate Deans, Heads of Subject, and professional partners in HR, Marketing, and Finance.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading a faculty within computing, engineering, or science disciplines, with experience in senior leadership teams. They will demonstrate success in leading large-scale change and transformation initiatives. Strong academic and professional qualifications in a relevant STEM field, with recognition from professional bodies, are essential.
You will be a strategic thinker with the ability to drive performance through data, metrics, and a focus on continuous improvement. Success in fostering high-quality research and academic innovation is crucial, along with high-level influencing and negotiating skills to engage and inspire stakeholders at all levels. A deep commitment to enhancing the student experience and embedding a culture of excellence and continuous improvement is also required.
