Anderson Quigley is delighted to partner with Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU), one of the UK’s fastest growing and most ambitious universities, on the appointment of an Interim Executive Director of Marketing.
Practicalities:
This is a 6–9-month FTC, ideally starting 1st October (earlier start possible, latest 1st November). Full-time preferred, but 0.8 FTE/4 days considered. Hybrid contract with 3 days on-site per week on average. Travel and/or accommodation expenses negotiable.
Overview:
We are seeking an inspirational Interim Executive Director of Marketing and Communications to shape the future of CCCU. In this high-impact role, you will work closely with the Vice-Chancellor, overseeing Student Recruitment, Admissions, Corporate Communications, Digital & Design Marketing, Market Insight, and Schools & Colleges Engagement.
As the driving force behind CCCU’s marketing and communications, you will craft and execute a visionary sales and recruitment strategy to boost undergraduate and postgraduate enrolments. Your leadership will integrate central admissions, student recruitment, and communication strategies, maximising resource effectiveness. Leveraging KPIs and data-driven insights, you will also optimise the recruitment funnel from lead generation to enrolment. Through all of these activities, you will enhance the University’s brand and value proposition, raising its profile and attracting new student prospects.
Essential Criteria:
Essential to the role is extensive leadership experience of leading a marketing and communications directorate of at least 60+ people within a Higher Education Institution.
Also essential is a proven track record in developing and executing strategic recruitment and sales plans that drive targeted growth in student enrolments. Your ability to lead cross-functional teams and strategies, utilising KPIs and data-driven methods to enhance marketing and recruitment efforts will be key. Additionally, your expertise in developing the University’s brand and value proposition will be essential for raising awareness and attracting new student prospects. Proficiency in managing internal and external communications, crisis management, and UKVI compliance is crucial. The ideal candidate will embody CCCU’s vision and values, recognising and respecting the diversity of its community.
