The Board of Burton Hathow Prep is looking for our next Head to lead the school in the next phase of its development.

Burton Hathow is a family-oriented, independent preparatory school for children aged 2-11, set on more than five acres of wooded grounds in Lincolnshire. At Burton Hathow, we pride ourselves on providing the best educational experience for children in a safe and happy environment, thoroughly preparing each child for their next step in education and in life. Traditional values, combined with a contemporary curriculum, provide children with a stimulating education both inside and outside of the classroom.

We take an innovative and creative approach to teaching and learning, adapting our curriculum to suit the needs of our cohorts and ensuring diversity and inclusion across all areas of school life. We promote quality first teaching, and each member of our school team works collaboratively to ensure the best possible outcomes for our children. With smaller class sizes, each pupil in our school community has a voice, and we encourage our children to be brave, take risks, and step outside their comfort zone.

The new Headteacher will lead the school and staff team, shaping the very best practices and achieving the best possible outcomes for all pupils. You will be a visible and strategic leader who engages with the whole school community. You will strive for excellence and not be afraid to do things differently.

If you are an exceptional and ambitious senior leader with the interests of pupils at the heart of all you do, and you are looking for a new leadership position working in a truly independent environment, this role is for you.

This position welcomes experienced Headteachers and Deputy Headteachers from a Prep or Primary background with strong school-based learning experience and a passion for working with children where they can thrive.

Conversations (over the Summer Holidays) and meetings (upon return in September) are encouraged and very much welcomed.
