Join us in an exciting collaboration with a UK University as Anderson Quigley spearheads the search for an accomplished Interim University Secretary. This is an interim appointment for 6 months, offering a pivotal role in navigating a transformative period for the institution.

As a key player reporting directly to the Vice Chancellor, the chosen candidate will a play pivotal role in the relationship between the governing body and the University Executive Board, taking responsibility for the smooth, effective and coordinated flow of business between the two, and between them, Academic Board and other University committees.

Your leadership responsibilities will extend to heading a dynamic team, specialising in governance, data compliance, strategic planning, and performance support for both the Vice-Chancellor’s Executive Group and the Academic Board.

Your mission will be to guarantee the University’s fulfilment of regulatory and statutory obligations, all while orchestrating seamless and well-managed decision-making processes.

We are seeking an outstanding individual with the acumen to provide authoritative guidance to the Chair, executive group, and academic board. Your expertise will be instrumental in upholding impeccable governance across all facets of the University, including fostering a harmonious relationship between the Executive and the Board of Governors.

As the successful candidate, you will proactively assess and enhance the University’s governance framework, ensuring its adaptability to meet strategic objectives and remain relevant. Your role involves being a dynamic leader and adept stakeholder manager, capable of influencing and engaging both academic and non-academic communities. A proven track record in risk management and driving effective collaboration is essential. Your wealth of experience in compliance, statutory, and regulatory requirements will be invaluable in navigating the University towards continued success.
