We’re on the lookout for an outstanding financial professional to join the University of Brighton for 12 months as their Deputy Director of Finance, leading the charge in revolutionising the universities finance operations.
As the successful candidate, you will hold a critical position in discerning and executing strategic financial goals. Your responsibilities will encompass generating vital reports for the University Executive Board, overseeing rigorous financial monitoring and forecasting procedures, and establishing a resilient control framework to ensure operational efficiency.
Additionally, you will be instrumental in guaranteeing the University’s adherence to all statutory and regulatory financial reporting obligations.
This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker who can bring innovative problem-solving skills and decision-making prowess to the table.
We are looking to speak to candidates who can showcase experience of delivering accounting and related services at a tactical and strategic level within Higher Education.
Experience of leading a number of finance professional service teams simultaneously and managing external partner relationships is essential. You will have the ability to lead and contribute effectively to the work of teams. You will also be able to demonstrate experience of identifying and successfully implementing service control enhancements.
The successful candidate will work closely with the CFO and contribute to shaping the future of the university’s financial landscape.
You will use your expertise to deliver groundbreaking projects that will strengthen the universities finances and ensure the strategic goals of the university are met.
