Founded in 1894 City, University of London is the University of business, practice and the professions. We are a global institution committed to academic excellence and we attract around 20,000 students from more than 150 countries and staff from over 75 countries.

City’s strategy has given us the opportunity to re-design professional and continuing education, as well as other forms of educational enterprise. Reporting to the Vice-President for Engagement, Enterprise, and Employability, this new role of Director of Educational Enterprise will be high-profile across the University and lead a reorientation of our provision from an independent and autonomous unit to a core, strategically aligned professional service.  Our ambition is to reinvent and sustainably grow our work in continuing education, CPD and summer schools. The formation of this non-degree product team requires a leader and subject matter expert who will advise schools on market opportunities, partnering and business case development.

In developing and implementing a scalable educational enterprise strategy the role requires a collaborative leader who can work across the institution in engaging the academic and professional services communities. You will bring deep experience of working at a senior level in a relevant area of training, CPD or short course provision, but beyond this technical skillset will be a style of operating that can drive a cultural and performance shift in our provision.

This is an exciting time to join the University, with the summer merger with St George’s Medical School, City is a university confident in its strategic direction and this role is central to our mission to drive business, practice and the professions.

The closing date for applications is noon on Monday 24 June 2024.

City, University of London is committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion in all its activities, processes, and culture for our whole community, including staff, students and visitors. We welcome applications regardless of age, caring responsibilities, disability, gender identity, gender reassignment, marital status, nationality, pregnancy, race and ethnic origin, religion and belief, sex, sexual orientation and socio-economic background.
