Anderson Quigley is pleased to announce that we are working with GBS to appoint an Associate Dean of Computing, reporting into the Dean of Faculty. This is a permanent opportunity for a results-driven leader to contribute to GBS’ ambitious future plans. Who is GBS?

GBS is a higher education provider specialising in delivering formative and sector-relevant courses across nine UK and two international campuses (Dubai and Malta). The vision of GBS is to improve access to higher education for all. Their vocational, undergraduate, and postgraduate courses cover a range of key subjects including finance, business, tourism, construction management, computing, and health and social care.

Overview of the role:

This role aims to provide leadership and management for higher education programmes validated by GBS collaborative partners, ensuring that the collaborative partnership thrives and furthers the objectives and aims of GBS strategic planning, including implementation of GBS’ learning and teaching strategy across all levels and all course offerings.

The Associate Dean of Computing will ensure GBS maintains the highest academic standards and student-centred learning environment enabling students to meet their educational and professional goals. Further, the postholder will manage collaborative partnerships strategically in order to meet key performance indicators set for student attendance, student retention, student progression and student achievement.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing leadership to all staff involved with the delivery of partnership programmes.
  • Advising the relevant Dean and others in Senior Management on all resource requirements.
  • Promoting and further enhancing the highest quality learning experience for GBS students on their collaborative programmes.
  • Managing on a day-to-day basis the operation of the programmes delivered across the GBS campuses including travel to all campuses and collaborative partner sites as necessary.
  • Ensuring that students’ experience the highest quality teaching and learning, pastoral support and careers advice.
