As the successful candidate you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing key reward strategies, ensuring that the university remains at the forefront of attracting top-tier talent.

Key projects for this role include:

Reform Pay Structures: Lead the benchmarking, review, and proposal of a revamped pay structure that not only meets economic viability but also positions the university as a competitive force in the higher education sector.

Elevate Professorial Pay: Conduct a comprehensive review of professorial pay and associated processes, ensuring that the university recognise and reward the achievements of staff while exploring enhancement opportunities.

Introduce Staff Discounts Platform: Create and implement a staff discounts platform, providing the university with exclusive savings on domestic, lifestyle, and wellbeing purchases.

Implement a Credit Union: Spearhead the establishment of a Credit Union, fostering financial well-being among the university community.

Total Reward Statements and Flexible Benefits: Develop and implement Total Reward Statements as a precursor to a flexible benefits platform, allowing staff to buy and sell benefits tailored to their needs.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker who can bring imitative, problem-solving skills and decision making prowess to the table. We are looking to speak to candidates who can showcase experience in developing and delivering successful reward strategies, coupled with a proven track record of leadership and driving organisational change.

The successful candidate will work closing with the Deputy Director of HR and contribute to shaping the future of the university’s talent landscape. You will use your expertise to deliver groundbreaking projects that will strengthen the universities employer brand and ensure the recruitment, retention, and reward of top-tier talent.
