This is your chance to spearhead the full integration of financial compliance across the University, elevating the financial control environment to new heights. Your role will involve hands-on implementation and driving of a proactive financial compliance strategy. We need someone with a stellar practical understanding of what a robust control environment entails and the expertise to embed this within this university.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the charge in embedding financial compliance practices across the University.
• Drive best practices and hands-on involvement in creating a robust control environment.
• Collaborate closely with senior colleagues on whistleblowing, bribery, and counter-fraud initiatives.
• Work in tandem with the Head of Financial Operations to optimise existing processes and systems for operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
• Foster collaboration across the Finance department and beyond, utilising strong influencing skills.
• Be a key liaison for internal audit, ensuring the ongoing implementation and embedding of audit recommendations.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience – An experienced qualified accountant, ready to make a transformative impact.

Background – While an auditing background is advantageous, it’s not a prerequisite. We welcome diverse experiences! And from different sectors!

Skills – Strong influencing skills and a hands-on approach to driving best practices.
