Triple Gold accredited in the recent Teaching Excellence Framework; we are creating two new PVC roles at executive level. Our new PVC Research, Academic Strategy & Planning will work closely with the PVC Education to link research and knowledge exchange with education, taking a holistic view of student education and experience from UG to PGT. As a team you will provide visionary leadership to successfully deliver Solent’s academic mission of ‘work-ready, world-ready, future-ready.’ Accountable for providing the institution’s academic strategic leadership for research, knowledge exchange and innovation you will help grow capacity across these areas at all levels of the institution. In addition, our new PVC will lead a range of academic planning initiatives ensuring our future portfolio is appropriately resourced and strategically aligned.

You will bring significant leadership experience in higher education and in-depth knowledge of the UK research, knowledge exchange and impact environment. You will have a track record of raising the profile of such activity and delivering improvements in research and innovation outcomes and the ability to engage colleagues at all levels in relevant research, scholarship and consultancy activity. You will bring an enterprising outlook with the ability to work with a broad range of partners and stakeholders to deliver collaborative research and innovation projects.
