We are now seeking two Independent Governors to join our Board who will help us fulfil our role in shaping the character and strategy of our university, supporting, and holding to account the executive and ensuring the effective governance and scrutiny of all institutional activity. Used to working in a fast moving, competitive environment, you will be agile, change orientated and know how to work through others to ensure that all parts of Oxford Brookes University continue to flourish.

Eager to seek balance on our Board, we are particularly interested in applicants with expertise in one or more of  the following areas:

  • Major capital transformation
  • Higher education

Ideal candidates will possess the independence to make a significant contribution to board discussions, and the collegiality necessary for maintaining effective working relationships. Your ability to think strategically will be a given, likewise your ability to analyse and understand complex information.
