Ranked in the top 10 of London Universities, we are dedicated to delivering an enriching educational experience that enhances the lives and employment prospects of our students and staff. With a history in education that dates back through our four colleges over 180 years, the University has been a pioneer in transformative education, and has been providing education to women longer than any other university in the country. Today, our colleges support both residential and commuting students and provide the friendly, welcoming community that makes Roehampton so distinctive, supporting student wellbeing, social life and the wider student experience.

Our Faculty of Business and Law is a thriving community of inspired and diverse students and staff who believe that businesses and legal professionals should act with a social conscience – these are values embedded in our teaching and research. Since 2019 we have significantly expanded our course portfolio which has grown our student population from 1,800 to 6,500.  With a firm focus on delivering positive change in student outcomes our next Dean will continue to manage our growth and portfolio diversification as well drive our partnership activity along with REF 2028 preparations.

We are seeking an outstanding candidate with leadership experience to build on the strong foundations left by the departing Dean who has been promoted to another role in the University. The successful candidate will combine academic achievement in a relevant discipline with a track record of effective leadership and management.  S/he will also be an outstanding communicator and drive the ambition of the Faculty and be an influential and authoritative voice for the University externally.
