The University created LSBU Group, a unique and growing partnership of secondary, further and higher education providers in south London. LSBU Group is made up of four organisations and was created in 2019 after LSBU oversaw the first merger of its kind between a university and college.

We are now seeking to appoint a new Academic Registrar. The Academic Registrar will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring service excellence for all areas of academic administration and registry services covering the full student lifecycle. A key area of focus will be the transformation of academic services which will be underpinned by thorough service re-design, the introduction of new technologies, and the embedding of new ways of working across and between teams.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Academic Registrar will have responsibility for all centralised student administration and contribute to the strategic and operational deliverables of the Student Journey Directorate. They will work closely with other members of the directorate, academic leaders, and representatives from the Students Union.

You will have experience in a senior leadership role in a large and complex cross-organisational administrative function and bring experience of leading service improvement change. You will have a thorough knowledge of the Higher Education sector and be adept at developing sector-leading policy, systems and processes. It is also essential that you have up to date understanding of technology solutions which support student administration, specifically student information systems, timetabling and attendance.
