Anderson Quigley is happy to be working with a major London University who are looking to appoint an interim Governance Manager role.
Your main areas of responsibility will be focusing on supporting committees, providing guidance on the University’s risk management policy and ensuring there is a high quality of documentation in relation to policies and procedures available to university staff.
In this role you oversee the maintenance of key governance records and ongoing review of key governance documents and processes in line with legal requirements, sector best practice and the school’s needs.
Finally, you will support the Director of Governance to lead and deliver a strategy and continuous improvement plan to refine and streamline governance services.
In terms of people management, you will lead four Governance Officers and report into the Director of Governance. You will liaise with key stakeholders such as the COO and the Board of Trustees on the Schools constitutional arrangements.
It would be desirable for the successful candidate to have Higher Education experience, but it is not a prerequisite public sector experience more broadly would be suitable.
The contract length is 4 months with hybrid working on offer.
