Anderson Quigley is delighted to be continuing our long standing partnership with GEDU Global Education, the parent company of GBS and GBS Dubai, on the key appointment of a Group Head of Governance. Please note, this is a fully on-site role, to be based from London, Birmingham, Leeds or Dubai, with an exception for international travel (UK, Middle-East and European territories).

Overview of the role:

As the Head of Governance, you will play a critical role in managing and enhancing the institution’s corporate governance framework. Your responsibilities will encompass maintaining and updating their governance policies, providing expert advice and guidance, and ensuring that all boards, committees and stakeholders meet their statutory obligations. You will be the driving force behind the effective functioning of governance bodies, ensuring compliance with established procedures, and facilitating seamless communication among stakeholders.

Essential Criteria:

The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of education governance in both academic and corporate settings, exceptional report writing and minute-taking skills, and the ability to analyse and integrate qualitative and quantitative data into reports. A proactive, performance-oriented approach is crucial, and you must be able to excel under tight deadlines, maintain discretion and high ethical standards, and handle confidential materials professionally. Experience of navigating relevant national and international directives, policy developments, and best practices is also highly essential. Regular UK and international travel is also expected.
