Anderson Quigley is happy to be working with a major London University for an interim Pre-Award Manager role.

Our client is a global university with one of the most diverse staff and students populations in the country. They are embarking on hiring to a number of roles to strengthen their Research and Knowledge Exchange Directorate.

The purpose of this role is to having oversight of the pre-award team and submitting high quality research proposals, leading to an increase in research income and diversity of Funders; promoting effective research governance; and dissemination of funding opportunities.

You will be responsible for:

  1. Overall control of and accountability for the administration of research funding applications including costing and pricing and funder compliance.
  2. Facilitating the preparation of research proposals and to take the lead on the development of large-scale, multi-partner collaborative proposals to UK and international funders, building the University’s capacity to lead and deliver timely, high quality projects.
  3. Allocating resources effectively and assigning responsibilities to ensure efficient handling of grant applications, costing requests, contract negotiations, ethical review and award set up.

In this role you will work closely with the Head of Research and Knowledge Exchange Development

The contract length is 6 months with hybrid working onsite. There is also a permanent role on offer.
