Anderson Quigley is happy to be working with a major London University for an interim Research Contract Manager role.

Our client is a global university with one of the most diverse staff and students populations in the country. They are embarking on hiring to a number of roles to strengthen their Research and Knowledge Exchange Directorate.

The purpose of this role is to deliver the School’s Strategic Plan for Research and Knowledge Exchange, particularly with regard to collaborative research, contract research and research consultancy.

You will be responsible for:

  1. Developing policy and planning systems consistent with the University’s research and knowledge exchange strategy and to monitor progress ensuring plans are delivered in accordance with operational and long term strategic objectives
  2. Negotiating a range of research and commercial contracts covering research related activities, including commercial and non-commercial research collaborations and charitable funding.
  3. Giving pragmatic advice to researchers and management on the implications of contractual terms within the context of the research, around confidentiality, publication requirements, intellectual property, VAT, ethics, and due diligence

In this role you will work closely with Legal directorate and report to the Head of Research and Knowledge Exchange Development

The contract length is 6 months with hybrid working onsite. There is also a permanent role on offer.
