Anderson Quigley is currently working with a large university on in the South who is looking to identify an experienced candidate to be their interim Head of Procurement. This is a 6-month opportunity with an immediate start.

Reporting into the Corporate Governance team, the successful candidate will lead a comprehensive transformation of the Procurement department, with a keen focus on methodical investigation to strategically revitalise its structure, processes, and team composition.

As the successful candidate you will be responsible for driving and leading the continuous improvement agenda delivering performance, quality and efficiency improvements. You will align to the university’s vison driving procurement objectives while ensuring optimal value, legal compliance, and exceptional service. Simultaneously, you will play a key role in enhancing and maintaining the university’s financial strength.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their ability to drive transformation and lead the evolution of the procurement function. You will develop and implement an operating model for procurement services with associated key performance indicators and reporting tools.

As the successful candidate you will also lead on complex procurement activities ensuring compliance with public sector procurement legislation. You will be responsible for defining the immediate, and long-term strategic direction of the department.
