As such, we are looking to appoint a high calibre individual to fill the critical leadership position of Professor and Head of Department of Psychology to support the delivery of the University’s ambition for growth and diversification.
Candidates will bring significant experience of driving academic excellence and student recruitment. You will attract and manage research funding, whilst providing academic leadership from research in core areas of psychology or closely related fields; providing inspirational leadership to ensure an effective teaching and research culture.
The successful candidate will be able to evidence a track record of meeting or exceeding recruitment targets. At ease working with multiple stakeholders, you will be able to flex your communication and leadership approach to develop shared plans. You will identify strongly with our values of Inclusive; Innovative; Ambitious and Enterprising and demonstrate these in your daily practice. This is an exciting opportunity to work in close collaboration with staff and students, to enrich and further diversify the intellectual, creative, and innovative portfolio of research and enterprise activity characterising the Psychology Department.
