Director of Finance Operations

Competitive Remuneration / Hybrid Working

The University of Bath is one of the most innovative and high performing universities in the UK and currently The Times and Sunday Times ‘Good University Guide’ University of the Year 2023. Whilst a fantastic accolade, we want to use it has a springboard for greater success to fulfil our vision to be an outstanding and inclusive university community, characterised by excellence in education, research, and innovation, working in partnership with others for the advancement of knowledge, in support of the global common good.

As our university has grown, we now wish to appoint a Director of Finance Operations. Reporting to the Director of Finance and responsible for a team of c30 staff, this is an important addition to our team to oversee all transactional processes, the control of assets and liabilities, and statutory and regulatory compliance.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone ambitious for their future bringing your senior finance leadership experience in a large and complex organisation to bear. They will be joining a well-established, inclusive team, built on a culture of continuous improvement. Because of that, experience in delivering high-quality financial processes and reporting is essential as well as managing finance projects and change programmes. An adept communicator, externally and internally, you will understand how to get the best from others, demonstrated by your own values and behaviours.

Closing date: noon on Friday 8th September 2023.
