Foundation and Development Director

Founded in 1595, Wellingborough School prides itself on its rich history and enduring traditions.  

Salary: c. £80,000 per annum, depending upon skills and experience. 

Wellingborough proudly educates from 3 – 18 years of age and is one of the oldest independent school in the country.  

The role of the Foundation and Development Director is a new role for Wellingborough, a role which is genuinely exciting, challenging, and will be fundamentally key to bettering the outcomes for our pupils.  

This is a senior leadership role and will take strategic responsibility for our foundation and fundraising. You will take the lead in building major fundraising campaigns, strengthening community relations and growing the development function.  

This role will work closely with senior leadership to maximise philanthropic income and build charitable relationships with the current and former parents, staff, alumni, foundations, companies and friends of the schools.  This is an exceptional opportunity to join a forward-thinking and dynamic schools with ambitious plans.    

This varied and fast paced role will most likely be suited to a dynamic and experienced development professional, with experience in delivering complex fundraising strategies, ideally with a strong track record in major gifts fundraising, gained inside or outside the education sector.
